The Challenge
A homeowner in Bessemer had experienced a break-in attempt through a ground-floor window. The window had been replaced, but the homeowner was concerned about the vulnerability of the remaining ground-floor glazing — particularly the large picture window in the living room and the sliding glass door to the rear garden. They wanted a security upgrade that would not require replacing the glazing and would be invisible to visitors.
The Solution
Solar Busters installed Madico Safety Series 8 mil across all ground-floor glazing — the living room picture window, the sliding glass door, and the three ground-floor bedroom windows — 640 sq ft in total. The 8 mil safety film holds shattered glass in place on impact, significantly increasing the time and effort required for forced entry. The film is optically clear and completely invisible in normal conditions. Installation was completed in a single day.

"After the break-in attempt we needed to do something. The safety film gives us real peace of mind — the glass won't just fall away if someone tries again. You'd never know it was there. The Solar Busters team was professional and efficient."
